GOOSE WITH A STICK IN HIS WING

By Jennifer Gordon, Director of Carolina Waterfowl Rescue

Jennifer picked up this goose on April 8, 2006. He had a stick in his wing. She had to chase him on foot for an hour before he got tired and she caught him.

Jennifer is holding the goose before surgery.

The stick was removed. It had penetrated one end of the body and out the other so there were two holes in this goose's body.

Goose is at home, recovering after surgery. He's doing much better!

ALL'S WELL THAT END'S WELL! HAPPY ENDING! THE GOOSE WAS RELEASED APRIL 26!
